Happy Thanksgiving America.
I have a lot to be thankful for, some are for things that don’t always feel like a good thing. Like my job. It keeps me exhausted, but at least I have one, even if it is for only 4 more weeks. There are many in America that don’t have a job. So I am thankful for that. I am thankful to live in America where I can take part in the governmental process and have the right to worship as I please and express myself freely. I am thankful for the armed forces, for their daily sacrifice and the sacrifice of their families. It is that sacrifice that keeps us safe. I am thankful for the food I have, even the sweet potato casserole I just burned while trying to keep up with my word count. There are many today who will celebrate at food pantry’s and with free meals provided by organizations. I am thankful for my preteen girls, yes I really am, they show me daily the innocence still present in the world today. I am thankful for my husband who puts up with a lot of crazy from me. And I am thankful for my parents who love me and raised me with love, understanding, and wiggle room for self expression. I am also thankful for all the wonderful writer’s I have met online.
Happy Thanksgiving to y’all.
