Row80 Sunday 1st edition

It’s Sunday, time for the weekly check-in for Row80.

Not too much to report, it’s been an odd week.

Writing: new novella.  25,000 words.  Still in the planning stage, hope I won’t be here forever.

Editing:  Edit my NaNoWriMo project, first 50 pages.  Nope, but I did get an idea for reworking one scene!

Submissions: Submit to one editor/agent a week.  Check. I also thought of a way to rewrite my query letter.

Health: One exercise session a week.  NOPE!  Stressful week has led to Whitman’s Sampler being my bestfriend!

The Great Purge: Taking one room at a time. Check! I cleaned out my walk-in closet! Next week, the bedroom.

W&*(^t :  Goal 3 healthy snacks a week.  I’m thinking this was a bad idea…..

Anyway.  It’s been a slow start, I have plenty of excuses 🙂  I hope to be more productive later.  I’m just thrilled I can now see the bottom of my closet and have everything lined up like neat little toy soldiers!

How are your goals going?

  1. Well, I think you did quite well this week. Stress undermines my best efforts for healthy living, so I totally understand. I’m trying to declutter as well, so I’m impressed with your closet success.

You may feel it was a slow start, but slow is better than no movement! 🙂

  2. I think multiple query letters is a good idea. If one seems to not be snagging people, try a different one. Personally, I have a super tight query letter (for agents that allow writing samples) and a looser/voice focused one (for ones that don’t allow samples).

The first week is always the roughest. You did great. Keep up the great work!
