It’s Teaser Tuesday (Oct.20)
He’d barely scratched the surface during the two semesters he’d taught at Tulane, figuring he’d have years to explore and understand the mystery of what had once been called the Big Easy. It had been a city of music and exoticism, a place of both excess and torpor. He thought he’d gotten more intimate with New Orleans than the average tourist, but he’s been fooling himself, like a john falling in love with his favorite hooker.

If you haven’t been, you need to go. Plan on anything but summer. It’s too hot.

Sounds like a fascinating story. My husband and I have been talking about a return trip to New Orleans — just to sample the delicious food. I think I’d enjoy this book.
My Tuesday post features In His Arms.

Love New Orleans, especially the French Quarter and Jackson Square. But most of all the jazz! Is The Map of Moments a good read? The teaser make it sound like it. 🙂
