I woke up this morning to a frigid 24*F. Granted, in the northeast it’s much colder. I’m praying for all of y’all in the cold and snow. Here in lower Alabama, we aren’t used to real cold weather, we get cranky over anything below 40*F. I’m not sure I have enough clothes to wear outside, I had to toss the flip flops and search for shoes.
We get snow once every four to six years. This little daffodil was the only photo I could find. I’ll have to get my techno wizard to find them.
Here’s a nice video to make you smile.
On with the goals. Be sure to drop by the Row80 hub and leave a word of encouragement for the other participants.
Row80 Round 1 Goals
-Participate in the weekly Health/Fitness Challenge at church. I attempted Barre. That’s really all I can say. I was terribly sore the day after. I lost a whole pound! I know it’s not much, but I’m happy. I also walked on the treadmill. Goal this week attend two workout classes and one day on treadmill.
-Read 4 books a month, roughly 1 book a week. I finished The Martian and just started The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. Another sci-fi book! I hope to reach page 222. Why that page? Because it’s a nice number and reachable.
-Edit book 2 in my mystery series. Nada!
-Work on self-publishing Book 1. Oh hold. The swap is complete, but I have to think about what to do next.
-Institute Meatless Monday. Yes!
-Keep up with the local Critique Group. I had critique group Monday and have a new stack of stories to read. I’m even looking at them until Monday. Goal this week is to critique 2 stories.
-At some point I need to write a story I’ve plotted. I’ve started working on character sheets. Goal this week is to finish character sheets and review previous plot work.
– Edit/publish Mystic Brew. I’ve completed the edits and have sent it to the editor. This week I need to work on release day information, blurbs, and descriptions for Amazon.
Stay warm and stay safe.
How did you do with your goals this week?
