April was busy, busy, busy. The girls kept me on my toes with school activities and I was typing away for Camp NaNoWriMo. I need a vacation. On the up side I enjoyed watching Peter Pan with my daughter as a pirate and going to state bible drill with my oldest.
Even with our busy schedule it’s important that I keep reading. It helps to calm me down at the end of the day and as a writer, reading is vital. I think it improves plot/story structure and basic writing skills. So keep reading.
Kindle:
Fortitude by Carrie Dalby- Just read it, but keep a box of tissue near by.
Changing Habits by Alice Loweecey- A short story.
Soldier’s of Fortune by Jana Deleon- Book 6 in the Miss Fortune Mystery Series. I love this series. There’s something about crazy old ladies with guns. I just started book 7 and found out book 8 is now available 🙂
Mine or borrowed:
I Never Thought I’d See the Day by David Jeremiah- We’re reading this as a group at church.
Kill ‘Em with Cayenne by Gail Oust– It was entertaining.
Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes by R.L. Stine- This is my first Goosebumps book. It was okay. I do need to find a new gnome for the front yard. I think I’ll move it around the house to scare the kids.
Other books I’ve read:
Hurricane Force book 7 of the Miss Fortune series. I finished it just in time for Jana Deleon to publish book8!
The Cinderella Murder by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke. It was okay, very entertaining. I was disappointed that I solved the case before the sleuth.
Six books finished this month. That brings me to 28/52 for my challenge. I actually think there was another book I read but forgot to list. I can’t remember, April was a rough month. Too many activities going on.
What was your favorite book this month?
