Friday- Book Beginnings

Rose City Reader hosts Book Beginnings on Friday.

Please join every Friday and share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires. Please remember to include the title of the book and the author’s name.

Bitter Harvest (A Greenhouse Mystery #2)

Bitter Harvest by Wendy Tyson

I found the found the first sentence intriquing. It set me up with expectations of a spooky story. Which doesn’t necessarily go with the vintage feel of the book cover. After reading the book I must say it’s not spooky either. It’s a nice cozy set during October. I kept reading so the opener did it’s job.
