The harvest moon glowed bright overhead, a burnt offering to the demons plaguing Megan’s peace of mind.
Bitter Harvest by Wendy Tyson
Thoughts:
I found the found the first sentence intriquing. It set me up with expectations of a spooky story. Which doesn’t necessarily go with the vintage feel of the book cover. After reading the book I must say it’s not spooky either. It’s a nice cozy set during October. I kept reading so the opener did it’s job.
