WWW Wednesday May 22

Today is a WWW Wednesday. A weekly meme originally started by Miz B but now hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Feel free to join in the fun and let the world know what you are reading.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

Deep WaterIn print, I am reading Deep Water by Alabama author Watt Key. I’ve read several of his middle grade adventure novels and they are all great. This one focuses on a teen girl stranded in the Gulf of Mexico. Yikes! One of the reasons I love Watt’s books is because they are set in places I have been. We both live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama.

I do find most of his books geared more to young male readers, the MC is usually a male but even my daughter loves them.

These books move fast and keep the reader on the edge.

What did I just finish reading?

Come, Bitter Poison (Stratford Upon Avondale Mystery, #2)When international stage and film star Miles Elliot comes to Stratford Upon Avondale to play Macbeth, Maggie O’Flynn is thrilled. He’s been her actor crush for years. But when Miles ends up at the center of a murder investigation Maggie finds herself slipping back into the role of amateur sleuth. Before long many of her friends become suspects in not just one murder, but two. Maggie must discover who’s poisoning people associated with the Shakespeare Festival before one of her friends gets slapped with a murder charge. And she must do so while dodging paparazzi that are stalking her due to a supposed love affair she’s having with Miles Elliot.

-Come, Bitter Poison by Monica Knightly

I love this series. I find the “American” version of a Shakespeare Village fun. And the main character is an ex-nun 🙂

What am I reading next?

A Fool and His Monet (Serena Jones Myst…The last book in the May cozy challenge is a book featuring a museum or gallery.  Therefore, I will read A Fool & His Monet by Sandra Orchard, book 1 in the Serena Jones Mystery Series.  I have until the end of May to finish it.

What are you reading this week?
