Top 5 Tuesdays- Covers part 1

Top 5 covers with red, orange, and yellow

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Bionic Book Worm. Click here for June topics.

It was hard picking just 5 covers. Some were hard to narrow the colors down to just one. I also only used the covers I actually own.

Red, Orange, and Yellow are not the easiest colors to work with. But these covers manage to use the colors to the books advantage and stand out from the crowded shelves.

  1. The Hundred-Foot Journey by Richard C. Morais

The Hundred-Foot Journey

The movie was wonderful and I hope the book is as good or better. I found this edition at the library book sale. Gorgeous cover.

2. Nuclear Jellyfish by Tim Dorsey

Nuclear Jellyfish: A Novel (Serge Storms)

The covers to Serge Storms series of books are bright and fun. I can only hope they are as much fun to read. I bought 4 at a used book sale. Anyone who’s ever been stung by a jelly knows how bad they sting, nuclear sounds about right 🙂

3. The Sleeping Beauty Killer by Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke

The Sleeping Beauty Killer by Mary Higgins Clark

Total eye candy.

4. Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie

Hallowe'en Party (Hercule Poirot #39)

It was not my favorite book but the cover is perfect. Dark and eerie.

5. Cadmium Yellow, Blood Red by Jacqueline T. Lynch

Cadmium Yellow, Blood Red

This was purchased solely based on the cover. I love the bright colors.

I’ve only read 2 of these books but the covers did convince me to bring the books home.

What is your favorite book cover?
